Advantages.
There are many advantages offered by an
electrochemical sensor system. These, and by way
of example, include: -
- they are applicable to virtually all aqueous environments for the
detection of ionic and chemical compound species.
- they can be presented as a hand-held rugged waterproof unit, or
an online, continuously monitoring system - remotely controlled,
and temperature compensated.
- they are fast acting, allowing real time data updates and
hence
continuous monitoring.
- they are precise, allowing measurements over a wide range of
concentrations, from ppb to % levels. Additionally providing a linear
output of the measured signal with concentration.
- they are highly specific - with negligible cross sensitivity to
other species which may be present.
- they can be made simple, requiring no technical knowledge to
effect their operation.
